The essentials

01

Does the AI send replies to Google on its own?

No. Engramn writes the draft and someone on your team approves it before anything posts to Google. There is no auto-send setting, hidden or otherwise — the reply sits in the inbox until a person clicks send.

02

How much does Engramn cost?

Engramn costs $399 per connected location, per month. Everything is included at that price: AI-drafted replies, unlimited team members, per-location brand voice, analytics, and the full audit trail. There is no contract, no setup fee, and no separate charge for the AI.

03

Will the replies sound like a robot?

Each draft is written against that location's own voice settings and quotes the specific thing the customer mentioned — the visit, the vehicle, the salesperson they named. You set the tone per location, list phrases the AI may never use, and fix a sign-off. Edit any draft and later drafts move toward how you write.

04

Who is Engramn for?

Engramn is built for automotive dealership groups running more than one location, where answering Google reviews is somebody's job and never the priority. The people using it day to day are usually the marketing manager, the BDC team, or whoever the GM asks about the star rating.

Setup & day-to-day

0510

05

How long does it take to set up Engramn?

Connecting a location takes about ten minutes. You sign in with Google, pick the Business Profile for that store, and reviews begin syncing within minutes — including your review history, so you can see which reviews were never answered.

06

Does Engramn work with Google Business Profile?

Yes. Engramn connects to Google Business Profile through standard Google OAuth and both reads reviews and posts approved replies through it. Google is the only platform Engramn supports today; it is not a general-purpose review aggregator.

07

Can I answer reviews for several dealership locations at once?

Yes. Every connected location feeds one inbox, and you can filter it by location, star rating, or status. A separate overview screen puts each location on a single line with its rating, unanswered count, response rate, and connection health, so you can see which store is falling behind.

08

What happens when a customer leaves a one-star review?

Low-rated reviews sort to the top of the inbox, and Engramn drafts a reply that acknowledges the specific problem rather than a generic apology. A review that lands on a Friday evening is drafted and waiting before Monday, so whoever opens the inbox first can send a considered response instead of writing one under pressure.

09

Does Engramn stop replies that break Google's review policy?

Yes. Every draft is checked against Google's reply policy before you see it, and an offending phrase is highlighted in place within the draft. Offering a discount, a refund, or free service in a public reply is the most common violation, and Engramn flags it and names the rule rather than quietly rewriting your words.

10

Can I edit a reply before it is sent?

Yes. The draft is directly editable in the inbox — you can rewrite a line, replace it entirely, or send the review back for a fresh draft. Nothing posts to Google until a person approves it.

Trust & billing

11

Is my dealership's data kept separate from other customers'?

Yes. Each dealer group's data is isolated at the database level rather than by application code remembering to filter, so one group's reviews and replies are not reachable from another's session. Google access runs through standard OAuth and you can revoke it from your Google account at any time, which stops Engramn immediately.

12

Who approved and sent a given reply?

Engramn records every send: who approved it, when, and what they changed from the AI's draft. That record is the reason the audit trail exists — it is what you reach for the day a reply gets questioned by an owner, a customer, or the manufacturer.

13

Can I add or remove dealership locations later?

Yes, at any time. Billing follows the number of connected locations — add a store and the invoice reflects it, remove one and the charge stops at the next cycle. Nothing is metered beyond that: a location with 400 reviews a month costs the same $399 as one with 40.

14

How many locations do I need to use Engramn?

Engramn is designed around groups running roughly 5 to 25 locations, but it works from a single store upward. Most groups connect one location first, watch a week of drafts, and add the rest once they trust what the AI is writing.

15

Does Engramn train AI on my reviews?

No. Your review text and reply drafts are sent to Anthropic for inference only — Anthropic is contractually prohibited from training on it, and Engramn does not train on it either. The few-shot examples used to match your voice come only from that location's own previously sent replies and never leave your organization. The AI usage records we keep for billing hold token counts and cost, not review text. Full detail is in our Privacy Policy.

16

How do Google reviews affect my dealership's SEO?

Google ranks local results on three things — relevance, distance, and prominence — and reviews feed prominence. Google's own guidance for Business Profiles states that more reviews and positive ratings can help your local ranking. So the star rating and the number of reviews each of your locations carries are a direct input into whether that store appears in the local pack when someone nearby searches for a dealer.

17

Does replying to reviews improve local search ranking?

Not directly, and anyone telling you otherwise is overselling it. Google says that replying shows customers you value their feedback and that helpful replies help a business stand out — it does not list replying as a ranking factor. The effect is real but indirect: a study of TripAdvisor hotels published in Marketing Science found that businesses which started responding to reviews went on to receive 12% more reviews and gained 0.12 stars on their average rating. Review count and average rating are precisely what Google says feeds local ranking, so replying moves the inputs rather than the dial itself.

18

Does answering Google reviews actually help a dealership?

Beyond ranking, reply rate and recency are visible to every shopper who opens your profile. An answered complaint reads very differently to the next buyer than an ignored one, and a store that answers consistently reads as an attentive one. For a dealership that is the cheapest trust signal available — the reviews are already there, and the only question is whether anyone responded.

19

How is Engramn different from a reputation management agency?

Agencies answer reviews with human labour and price accordingly, often per location and on an annual contract. Engramn does the drafting with AI and charges a flat $399 per location per month with no contract, while keeping the final approval with your team rather than outsourcing your voice to someone who has never met your customers.

The last four are the short version. The full argument — the local pack, the research, and the math for a dealer group — is its own page.
